`69 427

1969 427 390 HP Coupe

This is an original 1969 427 390 hp. coupe. It came from the factory with Monza red paint with red vinyl interior. It has factory side pipes, 4-speed 3.08 rear. Car has been completely dissassembled, and every component rebuilt to factory specs. The NCRS judging manual, and factory assembly manual are constant references to get things as close as possible to the way it looked 40 years ago.

The car was pretty complete whan purchased. The frame was badly rusted. Rather than repair it, a replacement frame was used from another car. Body was completely stripped and repaired. Repaint was with correct Dupont Monza red. I rebuilt the engine back to factory specs.

I chose to have the engine balanced when the machine work was done. There will be over 3000 hours in the car when done. Car is slated to be completed early summer 09.

1955 Bel-Aire

1955 2 door Bel-Aire hard top

This project has a pretty fair amount of rust. It is going to receive a complete 1 piece floor. I gutted the existing trunk and wheel wells, and fabricated all new panels.

The new tubs were hammer formed and will be large enough to accomodate the 13″ wide Michelin’s. New quarter panels have been fitted, and the gas door has been removed. The existing rear suspension was scrapped. A new Strange Engineering 9″ Ford housing was installed with a triangulated 4-bar suspension with coil overs. I fabricated a new 16 gallon fuel cell from aluminum, to replace the existing tank.

The car will have a new hand fabricated firewall, inner fender panels, and many other custom modifications. I will reuse the bench seat with a 4-speed. I like the old school look! I will be building a 377 stroker motor, which will give the car plenty of power. I will update the pictures as work progresses.

`71 LT-1

1971 Corvette LT-1 convertible

This is a very original and rare LT-1. With close ratio 4-speed and factory 4:11 gears, this car is alot of fun to drive. It will receive a complete frame off restoration.

*UPDATE* – 5-20-14
This is the finished product, after many hours of work. It was all worth it, as the car took a NCRS Top Flight award at the Wisconsin state meet in 2012.

*UPDATE* – 2-1-12
After stripping to bare frame, every component has been rebuilt or replaced, according to NCRS specs. The original rebuilt LT-1 330hp engine screams as only an LT-1 can. This car will be taken to the NCRS state meet for judging.
